These crime statistics reflect crimes that were reported to the South African Police Service from the 1st of July up to the 30th September 2022. These crime figures are compared to the same period in 2021, when the country was still under Lockdown due to the outbreak of the COVID-19. Between July to September 2021, the country was under lockdown level 4, 3 and 2.
